Bounce Rate
The percentage of visitors to a particular website who navigate away from the site after viewing only one page.
Bounce rate represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and then leave (“bounce”) rather than continuing to view other pages within the same site.
Is a High Bounce Rate Bad?
It depends.
- Bad: If users land on your homepage or Landing Page and leave immediately, it means your value proposition isn’t clear.
- Okay: If users land on a blog post, read the whole thing, and leave satisfied, a high bounce rate is normal.
How to Lower It
- Improve Page Speed.
- Make your content easier to read (better formatting).
- Add clear Internal Links to related content.
